High School > Course Recommendations

IMPORTANT: Below is a list of courses to assist you with planning. This is not an exhaustive list. Parents are responsible for contacting colleges for specific requirements for admissions. Parents are responsible for ensuring their students meet the requirement for their state as well as HLA. With diligent preparation and planning, the below recommendations should help you build upon the basic diploma requirements to equip a student for college. We call this Goal-Based Education ["Goal-Based Education" audio and video workshops available summer, 2009].

Also, typical course descriptions, as well as frequently asked questions, are provided for your convenience.

Due to the growing diversity of college requirements this is now a list of recommendations. It is the parent's responsibility to find out exactly what is required for college admissions. Of course, we are here to help. You are not obligated to follow these descriptions or recommendations. These are provided for informational purposes only.

You may make substitutions to course content depending on a student’s interests and strengths.
THERE ARE MANY MORE POSSIBLE COURSES THAN JUST THOSE LISTED HERE.
