Have you ever stood still and listened for a word from God? More than 20 years ago, a group of teens in Burleson, Texas listened to a word from God, followed in obedience and from that, a prayer movement was born. To this day, See You at the Pole continues to bring together young people of all ages in one of the largest, organized student prayer events. It has grown to global proportions including participation from students around the world.

The event originally began at a school with students meeting at the flagpole on their campus before classes began for that day. The student-initiated, student-led and student-organized event opened the pathway for them to openly pray on their school campuses for their friends, family, teachers, school and nation. Currently, the prayer movement has more than 100 ministries supporting it in its effort.

On Wednesday, September 26, young people around the world will meet at flagpoles on school campuses to pray for “their friends, schools and leaders.” Although most prayer meetings will be held at school flagpoles, which are an easily identifiable location on school campuses, there are many homeschool students who will meet at alternative locations. Some will participate at their home; at a designated church; in a parking lot, etc. If there is not an organized meeting place near you, do not let that stop you. The idea is to pray!

To learn more about this inspiring and uplifting event or the global week of prayer (9/24-29), visit See You at the Pole online and learn how you too can participate. Let us know if you do participate or have done so in the past, and what you did.
