Annual Registration Fees*

$75 FAMILY FEE
TENNESSEE families receive a “hometown” discount and remain eligible for the $60 Family Fee when registering on time by or before August 1.

PLUS…

$25 PER K-7 STUDENT REGISTRATION
$55 PER 8-12 STUDENT REGISTRATION
You will pay no more than $110 for your student registration fees.

AND…

if you pre-register during a discount period between November and April each year, you can save up to 25% on your registration fees making HLA your most valuable option!

 
*Maximum annual registration fees per family = Annual Family Fee + $110 Max Student Registration Fees. This does not include any additional one-time or miscellaneous fees below that may apply. Families that have previously withdrawn will be considered “New.” HLA also offers pre-registration discounts throughout the school year. Student Maximum only applies at the time of initial registration and for the current school year. Students added later in the year will pay full student registration fees and transfer fees, if applicable.

ADDITIONAL FEES

This is a one-time fee that only applies to new families upon initial registration or previously withdrawn families returning to HLA. This fee is non-refundable. Please see our Refund Policy for further details. Note – Application Fee is $50 ($100 after December 15th) when registering for the current school year.

Transfer fee is $50 for students added to an existing family account any time of year. This fee does not apply to new Kindergarten students (PreK and K5).

Only for high school Seniors and paid only once during high school years. This covers your final transcript review for graduation, a final transcript, a sealed transcript, and your diplomas (cover not included), and counseling during the Senior year. The Senior Fee is $100. If you were registered as an 11th-grade student the previous school year and are continuing with HLA for your Senior year and register before December 15th of your Senior Year, the Senior Fee is $50.

This fee is for families who did not enroll for the school year before registration ended on May 1 and did not meet the compulsory attendance requirements in states that we legally cover (TN, FL, AL, SC, and CO) for previous school years and are wanting to report grades and credits. HLA will not accept attendance for any years in which you were not registered. If you are one of these families, please call the office to discuss options that may be available.

This fee applies to new US DOMESTIC 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who have not been enrolled in a public or private school or where parents have homeschooled independently in their state and have parent-created transcripts of high school credits. This $100 Transcripting Fee gives access to these previous years in order to enter grades and credits into Applecore (reporting system) and be added to their high school transcript. International Fee – $75 

Applies to all families living outside the U.S.

Other Fees which may apply…

TRANSCRIPTING FEE – $100 per student (grades 10-12) – to add previous records – covers 3 previous school years

The Transcripting Fee for Global families and groups covers previous school records and independent homeschool records transferred onto HLA’s transcript, excluding groups Approved for Grade Entry. HLA requires previous records for all high school students in order to build the transcript. All previous records require an additional Transcripting fee to add the grades to our transcript. HLA will only produce transcripts that reflect all of the students completed high school grade levels, not single years in grades (excluding Grade 9). Previous elementary records may be added if requested.

Students must be officially enrolled with HLA and complete a minimum of 3months/90 days in the current school year before HLA will release official transcripts or certificates. Grades in Applecore must be up to date and accurate.

SCHOOL CALENDAR CHANGES – $75 per family

It is very important that all students and families are enrolled in the correct school calendar.  Families should try to follow the school calendar of the region in which they live.  Being in the correct calendar affects several areas of the family’s account, including the confirmation and proof of enrollment documents, AppleCore and grade reporting, and in some cases, compliances with local boards or ministries of education.   Parents should not enroll their family in a school year because one calendar is open and the other is closed. If your family needs to change calendars, there is a $75 fee for this service, so that our team can thoroughly review the account to make sure all of the notations are accurate for the family.  


Apostille/Legalization of Documents = $75* + Additional Shipping Fees

An Apostille is simply the name for a specialized certificate issued by the Secretary of State. The Apostille is attached to your original HLA document (transcript, diploma, etc.) to verify it is legitimate and authentic, so that it will be accepted in one of the other countries who are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. Some countries also require legalization through their U.S. Consulate. Apostilles must be clearly noted in the request; please also provide a shipping address and phone number.

A student must be officially enrolled with HomeLife Academy and complete a minimum of 3 months/90 days of the current school year before we will release official transcripts or certificates. Grades in Applecore must be up to date and accurate.

Attestation/Authentication of Documents – $200* + Additional Embassy and Other Fees

Attestation is a validation to confirm the seal and signature of documents for countries not a part of The Hague Convention. This process involves more than apostilles, as documents must be sent to the US Secretary of State and/or the country’s Embassy. This service is only available to families in countries not in The Hague Convention.

Attestations/Authentications must be clearly noted in the request; please also provide a shipping address and phone number.

*$200 base fee per family – additional fees will be invoiced as needed. A student must be officially enrolled with HomeLife Academy and complete a minimum of 3 months/90 days of the current school year before we will release official transcripts or certificates. Certain special documents require additional shipping fees. HLA’s preferred carrier is DHL, but we will give you quotes for other carriers upon request.
